Kirkcudbright Squash Club
KIRKCUDBRIGHT SQUASH CLUB, which has two courts, was opened in 1981, after a massive fund raising effort by Kirkcudbright people for their own courts. Up until then local players were playing, by invitation, at the local M.O.D. military range. The Club is non-profit making and is financed solely by members and visitors, it receives no financial help. Despite being in existence for over 20 years the location of the Clubhouse is something of a “secret” to many people in the town. The Clubhouse is situated next to the Swimming Pool, behind Kirkcudbright Academy in the Castledykes area of the town. Visitors are welcome, and can come along as a guest of a member or indepently A key for the main door, together with the digital code for the internal door, can be obtained from the Swimming Pool for a £10 returnable deposit. The Visitors Fee of £2 per player is put in the Visitors Box in the clubhouse.
The lights for the two courts require £1 and/or 20 pence coins.
Sessions are in for 45 minutes and cost £3.60 per court.
